Inclusive Experiences Tailored for Every Child

As a non-profit organisation, our resources are very limited, and our core team is made up entirely of volunteers. Each of us comes from a professional background in this field, and we are also parents of children with complex needs.

We choose to give our time because we’re deeply passionate about providing this service and supporting families like ours. We do our very best to respond promptly, but please bear with us — our volunteer work has to fit around caring for our own children, who remain our first priority.

We pour our hearts into this service because we know firsthand how valuable it is for children and families who need extra support. Every activity, every session, and every bit of planning is driven by our genuine belief that all children deserve joy, inclusion, and meaningful experiences. Seeing the difference this service makes is what motivates us to keep going — it’s more than just what we do, it’s something we truly care about.

Neurokind Space was set up in direct response to feedback from SEND families across Hertfordshire who largely fed back that they did not have Neuroinclusive Holiday Care options for their children. For many this has resulted in unemployment and impact on both parents/carers and child’s mental wellbeing. I speak from experience both personally (being a single parent to two AuDHD boys) and professionally (being a registered Social Worker with nearly 20 years experience).
